Tjust Allmogebåtar

The association Tjust Allmogebåtar in cooperation with Rågö Echo Museum displays on the island Rågö, off Loftahammar, exhibitions on the every day life typical for people living on the small islands in the local archipelago. Tjust Allmogebåtar has taken over the responsibility for saving, restoring, preserving and sailing the remaining fleet of local fishing boats and smaller wooden crafts. The own workshop on Rågö is a vivid centre for keeping traditional handicraft alive. Visitors to Rågö are offered guided tours ashore and sail trips at sea in traditional boats. The festival The Rågö Day is arranged yearly on the third Saturday in July. It is the day of hemp, wooden tar and old ignition bulb motors.
